As a mom, I can't see how a parent would want to go without seeing their child. But my son's dad only sees him maybe once or twice a month, so I know that some people don't feel the way I do. I personally wouldn't move across the country if I couldn't take Gavin with me. And I'm not trying to take him away from his father, so I probably wouldn't do that anyway. But I don't want to judge someone in a...

It's going to be even worse tomorrow when i have to go to the cemetary with my family. I haven't been once since his funeral and if I were to go, I'd rather do it alone.

My sister moved to San Diego with my niece, while the father was still here in GA. She actually got upset that the state required that SHE pay for the flights here whenever she visits Murphy. Though she moved out there because she married a Sailor or Marine that was stationed out there, and she started going to school there. I think she's moving back sometime in the near future. Murphy didn't know she'd moved out there with his...

I'm sorry, Ki-bear. But at least maybe it will help your mom feel better to have you with her.

It was pretty cool for me. When my mom moved, it was an excuse to go to Europe more frequently than I otherwise would have and I didn't miss out on any real important stuff because by the time you're in your teens, you generally want your parents to leave you alone, and because my dad was one of those guys who wasn't afraid to run to the store and get me pads and tampons when I was too embarrassed to do it myself. I actually...

Sharing
Published (2009-12-04 09:01:00)
I can't comment on the sharing since that is all S and C know. I mean we do get 2 of most toys but not the big ones. They are pretty good about sharing people. I guess we are just so used to it I don't even notice if they get upset about attention. The good thing is they are so different they just demand different types of attention. Here is a great potty training article I found the other day....

Generally speaking yes it's crappy and selfish of the parent to just up and move away. But there are circumstances where I would actually call it ideal for that to happen. My MIL I think could have benefited from up and moving away from her second husband with their son when they divorced. He was abusive though, towards her and towards their son. So obviously that's a different situation. Even after they divorced he would constantly...

A lot of kids at that age are REALLY active, so I wouldn't be concerned about hyperactivity unless his teachers find that he's significantly more active than the rest of the children in his class. And occupational therapy can help with his attention span if that's the only problem. If there's a family history of it, then it's good that you're on the lookout for it and are going to talk to his ...

I think because of the other things this is a big deal to you, but this alone doesn't seem like one. I think it's special that Gavin chose a name for your dad, and it's even more special if he's the only one that calls him that.

Olivia is a compromise, and too popular for a first name. Gray adores the name Olive, and I find it unacceptable.
