Hi Tammy I think about 3 or 4 months now. I seem to have this same problem with everything I publish on Lulu now. It doesn't fill me with confidence.

Thank you much for your help! My appreciation. Still, such Info should figure on the main panel, where all my works are seen . Tks.

Hi Kevin It is still unclear to me. Lulu says that the ebook can be in ePub and PDF format. However my book is only available in epub format (I guess). How do I do to upload a PDFto the same project? Or do I have to create a new project? Regarding SmashWords, they indeed have more formats but only accept doc/rtf file for upload. They do not accept epub. I have not find a good way to convert the epub into rtf format yet (Calibre crashes). Paul

When you create the pdf version of your file before uploading it to LULU, be certain that you have selected the option to EMBED ALL FONTS in the resulting pdf file. I don't use a Mac and I don't know what software you are using because you didn't say, but you may be able to find OPTIONS for the creation of your PDF file. Just be sure fonts are EMBEDDED. Good luck!

Sophia This is typical behaviour - resellers on Amazon get hold of the details of your book through the databases and mark-up your book. You'll also find over time that some will discount it enormously too. I wouldn't worry too much because I doubt if anyone will buy it at an exaggerated price, but anyway you would still get your royalty. This happens all the time to Lulu authors (and others, I suspect) and there's nothing you...

How long has it been since you approved it? It normally takes 6-8 weeks, sometimes longer, for the book to get fully into distro. That seller is one of the 3rd party sellers on Amazon's marketplace. They normally get their data from sources that have links to Books In Print or something like that so they have the data. They don't have the book but if it sells then they would have to order it, dropship to the buyer and pocket the...

I am working with a Mac in Palantino font. When I up load my word document and let the Lulu server convert the DOC to PDF the spacing in my text changes because the fonts do not match. This distorts my documents design. What fonts should I be using on my Mac to prevent this problem?

Mysterious Hidden Shipping Options.

I think the answer is on the Shipping page, which has been updated with in the last couple of months: http://www.lulu.com/en/help/shipping_faq Apparently Priority Mail is only available to certain addresses. If it doesn't show as an option for you, then Priority Mail not available to your address for some reason (e.g. mailing to a P.O. Is it a Lulu or Amazon sale?
Published (2009-12-23 11:21:00)
I have always went with the distribution packages so I'm not to sure how they would appear but I suppect that it would be through LSI as well and that there would be a delay to the sales appearring on your account. After all Lulu has to wait for the information from the seller, be it Amazon or another online affilate.

Why does it take three weeks for a book that is being delivered to CANADA to be delivered when six other orders for the same book placed on the same day but being delivered within the USA are DELIVERED in less time than that?

Wow, had this question up for a while and 41 people have looked at it, and no one's given me any sort of comment. Is my problem that strange or did I not give enough details for anyone to be able to help me?

No one can do this but you. You have to change the size of the file that you upload to Lulu for the project. If you've made the file in Word, you have to change the dimensions of your document to match the size of the book you want to make. Then go through the Publish process again, delete your original file and upload the new one.

If you got an email from Lulu telling you of a sale then that would be a Lulu sale. If it appears on your account details as LSI distribution or something similar then that would be one through another outlet such as Amazon.

You would have to login under the original e-mail and password, and then go to the My Account page to change to a new e-mail and/or password.
If you have problems doing that, you would need to use the links on the main HELP page to contact support - any information you can give them about the original account would make it more likely for them to assist you (such as the book name, and if ...
