Well, you can get updated driver if you download the latest driver. And actually I don't think you can backup a driver unless you manually look for every single files and backup registry key also.

Checklist... #1. Use NVIDIA latest drivers.. #2. If you have overclocked your processor then revert back to stock speeds. #3. Re-plug in your graphics card into the PCIe x16 slot, also make sure the PCIe power connector (6/8-pin) is connected properly. #4. if no problem occur in firefox(safe mode) then the problem is due to the plugins. also pls check task manager when hang for cpu and ram usage.

just an advice, never trust your usb drive as the only backup for your important stuff. seems like it's quite common for them to go bad, at anytime......

I had the same problem as TS, but my screen don't turn off or being black for seconds..it just freeze there..sometime there are blue screen but most of the time are not..I not really know wat happen.. time of occurring is random..

k. try this way. CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM > DEVICE MANAGER > DISPLAY ADAPTER. see your card? if you see, then right-click, properties, then choose the option to upgrade driver and look for the ATI folder for your OS.
