If you can't find any of the older models (with Windows 98/ME support) on sale, then you may have to upgrade your operating system to Windows 2000/XP at least.

Who on earth needs that much bandwidth anyway? newer games... but there was this talk on buiding an online platform where all the rendering will be centralized on a single server and gamers need not high end hardware to play... all they need are their gaming input devices, PC and a high speed broadband internet connection...

The proc should be working, cause the heatsink is warm. and @Nuclear, yes it's the same board. Today wake up, turn off, went to read the newspaper, come back, logged on, then comp hang, restart, but never reach the bios T_T No beep from the board, nothing. Touched northbridge heatsink and southbridge heatsink, both are warm, same goes with the Proc's heatsink, PSU fan is running, all fans are running. Hard drive is slightly warm...

yes. some say the GTX3xxx / HD5xxx would be pushing beyond the 8x speed as well, which I think it could be but just that they could be utilizing x10 perhaps but i don't think it's near x16 yet.

You should stick to 4GB as your current usage will not benefit much. You will only benefit from 8GB if your application and games are heavy.

QUOTE(LokiD.d.G @ Nov 20 2009, 12:21 AM) All HD5870 GPUs currently are using stock reference designs, with the only variations being box contents and card sticker. There are a couple of non-reference cards set for release, like Sapphire's Vapor-X version, but I don't think they have made it to Malaysian shores yet. With that in mind, I'd pick the cheapest possible card. ...

it doesnt imply like that bro . 2-3 monitors with decent graphic card is more than enough for stock and chart stuffs . its not as if you're going for heavy gaming which will use high resolution and stuffs . and OC4/3 did mention if ur going for 2-3 monitors then u would need the discrete graphic card . for now, the HD4200 + 23" monitor reso 1920x1080 or below for stock and ...

I currently used on board sound Gigabyte EP45-UD3R for my listening mp3 music & gaming on my edifier C3. I would like to know which sound card pair with this speaker is the best so that i would not have a situation where the card is not bottleneck by speaker or the other way around. Any recommendation would be great & thank you.
