I am in the process of doing a full brake job on my Elise and I cannot get the retaining screw out that holds the rotor on. I have applied some PB Blaster but the chance of it getting all the way back to the threads in improbable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I an just about ready to just grind the head of the screw right off.

Update: With about 14,000 miles them the rears are near the tread bars, the fronts have what looks to be about 70% tread left. Happy with my purchase. Putting snow tires on in place of the ASX rears in a month or two.

Yesterday at Homestead Speedway while running time trials, I was approaching hairpin turn eight at about 100 mph and when I applied my brakes hard, my foot went to the floor and "NO BRAKING !". I drove off into the gravel pit and luckily did not sustain any body damage. What an eye opening experience. It is all on video from the car behind me which will provide me with the video soon and I ...

I just got my wheels back from the powdercoating shop. They did an excellent job. Originally, the wheels were black, but that wasn't for me. It's hard to show from the photos, but the wheels have a similar amount of flake as the storm titanium car body.

I also ordered the Lotus Super Sport Yellow adjustable sway bar... delivery late this month. In the instruction, it said the Black Motorsport adjustable sway bar is stiffer. Does anyone have any experience w/ the " new and improved" yellow sway bar from Lotus. I'm worried that P3 on the yellow maybe too soft for the Ohlins. Instruction recommends P3 w/ the Ohlins setup but I think that was ...

Just saw this as i was on a search for new tires. Looks like they have a "slightly" better treadware rating compared to R888 and RA1's. Anyone with experience with them? Toyo Tires - Proxes R1R Proxes R1R XTREME PERFORMANCE. EXTREME DRIVING. Developed from years of grueling on-track experience and engineered to elevated performance standards, Toyo's new Proxes® R1R allows ...

I did a little searching, but didn't find anything I was really looking for. Could somebody post a picture of a 2005 elise with black power coated wheels? Is it really worth doing and will it look good on chrome orange?
