Update the styling of the 911?
Published (2009-11-26 13:37:00)
I now understand that many of you want Porsche to keep a true-to-its-roots variant of the 911 in its line up. But there are lots of us who would love for Porsche to cut loose and build us something different, updated, and superior in performance to the restricted design of the 911 - and much less costly than a Carerra GT, of course.

Okay... TMI got back to me and things might be looking better soon for 2010! I'm going to talk to them and see - but if things go well I might just buy one of these! Although I'll have to wait until Jan 1st 2011 to register it in California (and probably several months until it's fully approved by the DMV)

I had a good experience with my '00 Disco II. No major issues. Comfortable. Useful. Fun. Owned it from '04 to '09.

I haven't personally owned one of these M3s, but I spent a fair amount of time working on one with around 95K miles on it and my only recommendation for you on buying an E30 M3 with 175K miles on it is to make sure the engine is healthy. A major rebuild on one of these engines is big $$$$ and could easily be more than the $10k you spent on the car. You have to remember the E30 M3 is a real BMW ...

Since 1997, I have put over 120,000 miles on two different Discoveries. They have a reputation for being unreliable but I have not experienced this with my vehicles. They are old-school vehicles that require more maintenance than most modern cars, and they definitely drive like heavy-duty trucks. However, they have alot more character...

I kinda like it, Moto.
All things must evolve. The 911 style is very dated and plain looking. I'm a long time Porsche fan, but my love of the brand has waned over the years and a lot of it has to do with the lack of imagination the designs have. The last Porsche design I was excited about (excluding the CGT, which is a special case) was when I saw the original Boxster concept. And ...

Have you drove the GT yet? You will regret selling the car, but point is it's just a car. If you change your mind there is always plenty of examples out there to pick up at a later date.

That story is amazing, but older than the hills. What was new to me were the other models listed. Good stuff. Incredible.

I have driven the 370Z. Fun car, better daily driver. But it's not the Lotus.
This is my suggestion for choosing a car. Imagine yourself owning the 370Z. If a Lotus drives by on the street, will you wish that was you??
