Gorgeous pictures Dave and gorgeous Elise as well. I can almost feel the crisp cold air! Not to brag or anything but I removed my hardtop today because it was so nice here in SoCal. It only took a few minutes and it's light enough for one person to lift off. Driving with it off and the windows up is very comfortable. Windows down is a bit drafty... Before putting it back on, I'll apply some talcum powder to the rubber to help prevent...

Do Exiges run a closed loop system? If so, wouldn't you just be able to reconfigure the O2 sensor to make the check engine light go away? Have you noticed a definitive increase in power for the car with an upgraded exhaust and removal of the cat? Thanks!

OMG Rick! I thought you died or something. Glad to see you're still around. For everyone else - Rick is the only guy in the world that could ever get the alignment right on my 79 Esprit and is one of the 3 outstanding automotive wizards the chicago lotus community has. (The others being John Welch and TJ) Rick - if you get an Exige S this time around, be sure to track it more than the Esprit. You'll love it.

I think those mods would be fine... haven't heard of weapon-r either... but
I run larini exhaust/decat on my car and its great - you will see the check
engine light on though because the computer system doesn't recognize the
cat.

i have a c5 and an elise..
they are TOTALLLLLY different cars... One has a monster horse engine with huge amounts of grunt power and the other is a dragon fly zipping circles around the horse.
they do things different.. vette power in a big car.. lotus no power but nothing to move..
i drive my vette as a daily drive and the lotus is my LOVE toy.. I so love that car.....

I daily drove the Elise five years long and it was a joy.
At least at day.
I didn´t have a garage and everynight I was thinking/dreaming/nightmaring about how an idiot would scratch or break it out of jalousy.
Now I have a garage and my life is perfect. Driving the Lotus at day, sleeping wonderful at night.

Hey all
I came from the E46 M3 community, and now I'm in the market for a Lotus Exige or Exige S. Anything I have to be aware of when searching for a used one? Besides that there's a supercharger in the S model, what are the other differences between the 2? Thanks in advance!
