I thought the board was considering the lease of the buildings under the tracks on atlantic ave .? Which in my opinion should be torn down and used for additional parking . Whats the skinny on the feather factory ?

From what I understand the MTA is going to lease those buildings to the village for $1 for 10 years. The village will have the responsibility of repairing those decrepit buildings, then leasing them out. What the mayor said was that the village will not repair them, but a future tenant will. Sounds very odd to me. The MTA letter says the village will be liable for the upgrade. The village says a future tenant will... very very ODD. As far as...

From what I hear from a few of the men I know that works there is that Lynbrooks DPW does more than any other DPW on Long Island and they are close to being the lowest paid DPW on Long Island, so it just baffles me that this administration can't even give them a 1% raise, but the cops got their raise and nobody says a word about that or how much they are getting paid. Also the library and building department got their raises too. So...
