Doctor............ Thnx for the reply ....but my system info is a sub section to performance & Management under the control panel and when I looked it does not tell me if its 32 or 64 bit......... I have solved the problem as shown in the replies before yours Thoy

( This situation has me puzzled. I have four email accounts ... my email \(Eudora\) checks them all simultaneously. Three of them log in and do everything immediately. The fourth one just sits there waiting to log in. And the delay \(I have timed it repeatedly with a stop watch\) is always exactly 80 seconds.
