As macropod suggests there are add-ins that mimic the toolbars, but ultimately the only solutions are either to re-install Word 2003 or learn your way around the 2007 interface as it is the future and you will get there in the end. There is no setting in Word to change the number of authors which are shown for a certain style. The number of authors shown depends on the implementation of the style. Hi Bo,
You can't. However, there are various Add-ins that people have produced to mimick the old toolbars.

It seems as if direct formatting has been applied to the cross-referenced
item; such formatting would be repeated in the cross-reference.
Modify the style you are using for your captions \(by default, this is the

Alternatively, add the \* CHARFORMAT switch...

You could use a conditional field combination in the header/footer
{IF {Numpages} > 1 {Page}}

And how to use "et al." can be very complicated -- if there are other
citations with the same first \(several\) authors, you have to list
enough of the authors to identify the work in question, and Word
doesn't compare citations for that sort of information.

other end in view, and Shift+click there.
2. If you mean a vertical column portion of a wider block of text, use...
