Ha ha! Know what you mean, The first half or so is quite amusing but the latter parts are pure shite, as if he gave up being arsed & just wanted to end the book asap. The ending itself is so weak it reminds me of the Barbara Cartland sketch in Little Britain.....how many pages?

I haven't got a clue how to multi-quote and even if I did there'd be too many things to pick out and just write, 'Yes, I agree with that' underneath. Utter utter utter fucking garbage that last night, thank fuck I wasn't there. Mascherano was awful, Torres was not just unfit, but awful, and what can you say about Dossena...... actually fuck it, I know I've been wrong before on here but I'm writing that prick...

Shouting 'you fucking beauty!'* just before as he lifted the cup up, I seem to recall. Right in front of some royal, an' all. I remember a TTWAR cartoon showing that which had Wright being played by Roger Mellie. *or am I mixing up TTWAR cartoons with reality?

I read that thread. Is the bit about the European Court of Human Rights deeming his trial to have been fair true?

Brighton Rock. At the end I just went 'hmm' and started another book. Not shite by any means but it didn't exactly float my boat. Bonfire of the Vanities. Really, really looked forward to reading it. Couldn't even finish it. The bit where the coppers come and ask him about his car and he acts all ridiculously suspicious made me want to burn the book. Why are people in books and in films absolutely terrible at telling simple...

near the end of weds game he was lifting his right leg pretty weird as if he knew it had gone again (kind of high kicked about 3-4 times) - think it was soon after he'd kicked the defender in frustration after he'd been outpaced again.

When I heard that Lucas was starting in preference to Alonso, I feared the worst. How bad was he? Radio 5 said he was a liability Rafa fucked up badly with that selection and it should have cost us, but with results elsewhere, we've got away with it, so let's hope he learns the lesson.

Lucas came in for an awful lot of stick today almost from the outset. Babel looked so-so when he came on. Putting aside the respective abilities of both players, I wonder whether we should be too surprised that they struggle when coming into the first team. How many minutes football are our 'back up' players getting this season? Given that only very rarely do you see a 'first team' squad ...
