These are everything I did to install iPL; 1)Tried installing with installer 2 binaries from 'Installer 2' page on wiki. -'failed to rejigger bootloader' error occured every time I tried. 2)Tried installing with installer 2 from SVN. -'failed to rejigger bootloader' error still occured. -'installing in data partition' solved the error, but not being able to deselect modules annoyed me(it makes ...

Loader 2 can't read NTFS, and therefore can't boot from it. Rockbox can't read NTFS and so can't run. iPodLinux can't read NTFS and so can't run. The Apple firmware can't read NTFS and so can't run. You will also destroy your firmware if you install a bootloader for your desktop. Having a bootloader for your desktop and having a bootloader for your iPod are mutually exclusive options.

It is theoretically possible for the iPod to do this, however no such software exists so you would have to write it yourself. Since Rockbox has a working USB stack for iPod targets, the simplest way to implement this would be to start with their stack and implement the appropriate specification for an audio device.
