Using iPod 3G as a second sound...
Published (2009-11-07 18:24:00)
Hi guys, im new to this forum and i've already learned a lot in a matter of minutes! Now my question, is there any way to use my iPod Nano 3G as a second sound card? Because my laptop one sucks, and there are a lot USB to 3,5mm converters and why couldn't a iPod do this job? I mean like this: Laptop (plays music) -> USB -> iPod -> Headphone jacket -> Speakers Greetings, Ghitoy

It is theoretically possible for the iPod to do this, however no such software exists so you would have to write it yourself. Since Rockbox has a working USB stack for iPod targets, the simplest way to implement this would be to start with their stack and implement the appropriate specification for an audio device.
