Unfortunately I did not get a chance to try any more last night and it will be Thursday before I get another chance. Having read the link above it does not look good for my DWL-120. I have a D-Link DWL-G510 PCI card in another PC that I could move, is this likly to work. Alternatively if I have to buy another wireless card, PCI or USB, what would be a good card to get for Unbuntu 9.10.

I GOT IT! Or that is, we got it! The "relay=local" in that log told me that despite my change to "mydestination" it was still trying to send through a local SMTP instead of using the relay. So I added the SMTP of exchange back to "relayhost" and it worked. I know that you have it working with the SMTP under Mydestination but for some reason that wasn't flying with me. So, the series of...

Hi there, welcome to LQ!
While I do find your post a little confusing, I think I get the idea, at least in part. That said, I have more experience with the "networking" angle than with the VMware/Xen angle, so I'm going to look at this as a networking problem. If you (or someone) determine that this is more of a Virtualization problem, you can use the report button and ask for your thread to ...

If you are referring to binding a private ip to a public ip, yeah definitely. You will need to the configuration at your router/firewall level.
But if you mean that you have a 192.168.x.x range and the ips to the vm machines are 172.16.x.x then you probably will have to change the connection to something other than NAT. (Can't remember the name, been using ESX these days.)

I'm not quite sure that I'm reading this correctly; let's start from the top:
I'm going to call the fedora box with dnsmasq running 'dhcp server'.
what interfaces are available on dhcp server?
what are the ip addresses on each interface?
what device has a connection to the internet?
what device is sharing network connections (router, switch, hub...)
what other computers do you ...

This is telling you that your mail server prevents relay which is correct. Most email servers will prevent this sort of action due to spam bots and people using it to realy bad things. You may need to enable it for it to work. Tho I am not sure why it would need that on to send status ...

Someone suggested what he called "dns pooling" as a countermeasure for those man-in-the-middle attacks that are based on DNS poisoning. His suggestion was to query several DNS servers and compare the results. If there's any difference, alert the user. Of course that would produce false alarms for any legitimate IP changes propagating in DNS networks. But it's better than nothing.
Are ...

Sounds like a configuration issue with the Netbook.
What happens when you try the following commands on the Netbook?:
