I have a Toro 32". I don't know what ECS stands for and I have never had a mower with grips but the Toro system works great and there is no stress on the hands. You just put pressure on the side you want to turn or equal pressure if you want to go straight. It is very responsive. Hope this helps.

I used to be a Snapper dealer. Their walk behinds were pretty decent,but their ZTRs could not hold a candle to Dixie Chopper.

I had a 36" Gravely walk behind with a B and G engine for about 15 years and it still worked perfectly when I sold it a few years ago. It was a secondary mower for all but the first couple years I owned it but I still put a couple hours a week on it doing backyards for the remaining 13 years. I can't say how it compares to a toro but I've never really considered Toro mowers to be quite ...
