As a Taser Instructor... I'm not aware of any deaths attributed to the Taser.....

Many Taser deaths are the result of them falling and hitting their heads. It has nothing to do with the actual shock of the Taser itself. Joules and amperage are what kill people. Wattage does not.

I haven't heard of any such problems. The TASER affects the muscles, it goes through your WHOLE body. Make the instructors aware of the situation before taking the hit, and they will determine if you can take a hit or not. If you want I believe TASER has a Q&A on their site.
