Hi Jeanette I'm glad the appointment went well, having no answers is hard, we know Amelia's death was caused following complications caused by her massive brain damage. What we will never know is what caused her to have the brain damage in the first place. I hope now that the inquest can reach a quick conclusion for you so that this part of the journey is over. Thinking of you Pippa

The appt went well, the doctor went through the post mortem with us. The cause of death is Massive Pulmonary Haemorrhage. The report explains however that otherwise Florence was perfect, no evidence of infection or congenital defects. She was perfect, and for a reason we will never know she had a massive bleed in her lungs which killed her. We do feel weirdly relieved, it's a weight off our minds in some ways, but of course hard to never...

Hi Jenny, So sorry to hear of your sister and BIL's loss. Its lovely that you are looking out for them. They may want to contact TAMBA who have a bereavement support group?and can put your sister and BIL in contact with local help. The website address is http://www.tamba-bsg.org.uk/ I hope that helps. george

Sister's loss - please help
Published (2009-12-18 09:48:00)
Thank you both for your kind messages and useful suggestions. As you say, the first few weeks really are a tough time, especially as it has happened just before Christmas. I will try and get back to see my sister and BIL in January, February, March etc and I think the text, flowers etc are a good idea. I already had the details for Sands and so does she, so perhaps I will talk her through the association when I'm around over Christmas (I...

How are we all?
Published (2009-12-15 11:02:00)
Hi everyone Sorry I haven't been posting much - things have been a bit hectic!? I just wondering how everyone was doing.....especially as I know how difficult Christmas is going to be. Christmas cards have been the worst for me this year (so far!) - I feel so bad missing Lily's name off the bottom of our Christmas cards, though? have added her to some card where I know people will understand.? Then there's the Christmas cards...

Hi Jenny So sorry to hear of your sister,BIL and your families loss. Beautiful names by the way. My sister lost her baby girl in october so I know how much this is hurting you. My first reaction to my sister and BIL's loss was to contact SANDS and my Health Visitor. They sent me leaflets and a number of a local councellor. All I did was pass the information on. It depends on the hospital but ...

Muddling along here, not doing great really. Christmas is hard, but not in ways I thought it would be. I'm missing Florence, and feeling really odd. We had our family pre christmas get together at the weekend, and watching my living children play with their cousins and knowing Florence never can was heartbreaking. We'll get through it I guess. Love Jeanette

Hi Vicky I am so glad that they were able to confirm that Grace was definitely Grace and that you have a place where you can go and visit her. I too found a huge amount of comfort in those early weeks going and visiting Amelia. Now though I don't feel the need to go as often, I say good morning on my way to work as I drive past but visit rarely now, she is with me in my thoughts at some point...

Hi Amy Thank you so much for remembering. I am so very angry today, so angry it hurts if that makes sense. I should have a two year old party to organise, a toddler running around, getting under my feet destroying the christmas tree. Instead though I am left with memories, a box to go through year after year, a toy to cuddle photos to look at. WHY WHY WHY do any of us have to go through ...
