So happy to have you back!!! My last twenty pounds is taking forever to lose too. I remember seeing ladies at "Weight Watchers" over the years that would moan and complain about having 20 pounds to lose and I would bitterly think to myself, "it must be nice- stop your boo-hooing, I have 100 to lose!!!". I'm so sorry, but I'm glad to see you still have a great sense of humor, that will get you through. I totally get what you are dealing with in regards to your emotional attachment to food and missing it, but trust me, that will go away. Congratulations on your weight loss. I agree with the band not being effortless, but it has been achievable. I appreciate the opportunity it gives me that I didn't have, to be healthy, make better choices, and weigh a lot less. If you follow the rules, it works. But sometimes the rules are hard to follow. Thanks for the heads up on the experience! I know the US doctors give a pre shot that numbs the area for the port, did Dr. Romero offer anything like that? Are you feeling full when you eat now more so than when you first got banded? Just wondering if its like the same feeling? Also there have been a lot of articles in the papers of the safety of the boarders right now did you feel safe?...
