My nutritionist suggested FIBER ONE cereal. I eat the Raisin Bran Clusters selection. They have several different kinds but I like this one best. It has 4gms of Protein in it. I also take a stool softner at night.

Published (2009-11-25 13:02:00)
Here's a post from LBT that someone's explains their take on left shoulder pain not related to surgery. It sounds very similar to what you're describing. Quote: I had my surgery 1 year and 5 months ago. I suffered with left shoulder pain a lot. It was the worst intense pain I ever had. I could not function at work or anywhere when I had this pain. The good news it is almost gone now. I get "attacks" every now...

It can be hard to pick the right foods sometimes. Especially as different cooking methods come into play as well. Something that may be fine at home could be completely different in a restaurant(too dry etc) - I normally play safe when I eat out and pick fish. Surprised about the being sick though. i can PB quite violently sometimes but it is definetly a PB as there is never bile or anything like that involved. Only lots of foam! Hope the soup...

Get some taken out. Too tight can be dangerous to your health. Too tight cost me my band.

I was banded on 7?16 as well and so far I am doing GREAT!.
I struggled a lot with gas and the swelling causing me to not really consume many liquids. I'm now on full liquids for the next ten days before going on to mushies.
I lost 11 lbs on the pre-op diet and then another almost 20 lbs in the first few days after surgery. I didn't notice any loss over the weekend, but am happy that I can ...

It's been 3 weeks post-op for me as well and I have that egg looking bump on top of the port. When I went to my post-op the Dr. said that it will go away. It went down a little but it's still there.

Re: Aug 31 Banders permalink
Hi there....
I was banded on the 31st as well. I spent one night in the hospital, and I did pretty well that day and night except for the no- liquids rule. I thought I was going to die with only 2 ounces of ice chips or water every four hours. The next morning I loved that 2 ounces of protein shake, and I have been doing pretty ...

You should be fine. I'm only 6 days post op but I am already on soft foods. So I could have had those things thought they aren't the healthiest for you. Just make sure not to overeat because you will feel nauseous and don't want to throw up.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I just had my appointment with my surgeon and he basically left it up to me whether I want LAP-BAND® or Realize band- he believes they are equal and more an issue of support post-op. Hoping all of you may have an opinion you'd like to share. Thank you!
