Did you view the U-tube clips I posted on your clutch question? Tells you what you should do to a series before wading to stop water drowning the electrics......... First check depth of water before you drive through it...... Second if deeper than the wheel hub, loosen the fan belt to stop the fan chucking water about, Lastly, enter water slowly, then gently accelerate to create a propper 'bow wave' and create a depression around...

Thanks for the answers.
I haven't tried it in neutral. I opened the top plate and used a wrench to move the selector from in to out (not sure which is which), but didn't realise there was a neutral point.
The manual doesn't mention anything that can help me decide if the resistance is expectable or not
Help ?

Kinell, that's a beauty!
Looks like all it needs is a straight front bumper, an original paint job and ditching of the side-steps and front spots.
I guess that's what the Southern Californian climate does for you.

I have a set that size, but on Disco Steels 7Jx16. I think the 90 rims might be too narrow. They'll fit no problem on the disco rims though. Possibly need to adjust the steering stops.
A beeter size would be 255/85R16

I have got a 2 1/4 petrol 88" series 3. I have been looking round for a supplier of the metalwork that the seats are fixed to and forms the cover for the gearbox. I have this idea that the bit of metal is called the seat box but I do not be able find one. Anyone know what he proper name is a this lump of bodywork and where I might get one.

hey mate, welcome!
Check the chassis number of the chassis, see what that says. in all likelihood what you have got is a late IIa 109 where someone has either presumed it was a series III (to the untrained eye it looks the same)and therefore used series III bits, or just used whatever parts fit. alot of old landys are bitsas where any old thing that fits is used.
