Help fitting electric/leather...
Published (2009-12-02 01:05:00)
There's a member here jonnyp38 who crazily offered to get RAVE to anyone who wanted it a few days ago - 29th November. There used to be a link here somewhere but the mods might have removed it for copyright reasons. Its got the full workshop manual for all Land rovers. Its an essential part of RR ownership.

No problems with Rick he's an active member of the BBS forum and he knows his BECM's. Don't know his charges, you have to weigh up postage to & from Ireland (Around £60) when sending them to me. He has the same setup as I have.

Chris,
You might be lucky and find that under your existing seat the electrics are all there. I doubt they would have modified chunks of the loom depending on the options ticked, more likely they just didn't connect them up as they were manual. This assumes heated/electric seats were available for your spec and year!
If not I would think anyone half decent spark could run a power feed for you....

try them on the body of the car, depending where they are. if you can get to the end of the cables just touch em on the body see if they work!

Ooh, I can see Gav posting here with a brand new 'mysterious battery drain' thread in a few weeks!
You're going to have to find out what voltage runs the fan at whatever speed, cut into the fan motor wiring and run it at that voltage.
I wont tell the BECM if you dont

Having difficulty tuning both keys in. Key one was working and the other wasn't. Took batteries out, put back in ignition, red light flashed and locked doors etc then did second one and it worked. Only prob is the first key now doesn't work. (Both still start the car though). It seems to be one or the other.

But I never got the 35 MPH message.
I came home and used the EAS software, I got all of the following error's:
3 : F8:8_Hidden
4 : RL signal incorrect
5 : F8:32_Hidden

Hi there,
I've been trying to find out if any of the Goodridge brake lines (the ones with the braided stainless steel wraps) will work on my P38. It's a P38 2.5 DSE 1999 with ABS.
I been checking the Goodridge site and I found the following:
All Models 1995 - 2001 B KCB-317-688-6 @ £93.42
Now, by that I assume, these ...

Hi Kev,
You need a torque wrench that will do 20 N/m, my others started at 28 so I had to get another one as you need this for the Head Bolts. A varied range of sockets and some extension bars and I would get a 6 sided strong socket for the head bolts so you don't round them. Make sure you use some card to keep the push rods in place. Plenty of bags to label all the parts and ...
