The handbook specifically says that you should NOT interchange tyres from front to rear. There's no contradiction, LR say swop rear tyres only, side to side when carrying out a service.

Freelander 98 wiring question?
Published (2009-11-12 12:32:00)
Relay R103 is the fuel pump control relay, connecting power to the pump via a white/purple wire. The relay coil is driven via S206 the inertia switch on a green/blue lead and grounded by the ECU on a black purple lead. By putting power directly on the pump you are bypassing the relay load contacts. I would check the voltage across the coil and see if the ECU is grounding the pump, more likely the relay itself I would have thought.

I ain't got no complaints. Some say they are expensive, but there again when is owning a car anything but? I look at it this way. Every time I've had a problem, Joyces have sorted it. He knows his stuff and I get on with him all right. I'm happy to put business his way so to help keep him going as a useful resource when all else fails. Also, he's a useful source of spares.

You need to check that there is an ignition live to the motor when the wipers are turned off, this is the feed to the park switch inside the motor. If there is an ignition feed then its a motor fault (not uncommon).
If there is no feed then you need to check your wiring starting with the basics, fuse etc.
There is no complicated electronics with the wipers, the only thing controlled ...

two things irritate me:
1)questions that have already been answered on here before many times
2)people to lazy to search
newer tyres to the back, search for vcu. I wouldn't get too hung up on the exact readings of torque, as it's hard to quantify unless the unit is on a bench and the test method is the same. just check if its working by tippex test, jacking one corner up and seeing ...

yu will need the 220 engine and gearbox complete including the Engine management electronics and radiator (intercooler).
I believe the gbox is the same, however the gearbox input shaft needs to be changed if yu wish to mate the 220 to the hippoo box and keep 4wd. Some of the 220Turbos (if not all) had a Thorsen LSD, which mite be nice too.
I think thats all - so quite an easy job.

The FBH takes no account of engine temperature,in standard configuration it will operate whenever ambient air temperature is 5 degrees or less. We have modified our Land Rovers in order that the the FBH units can be remotely activated prior to engine start up ensuring a warm cabin and engine whatever the weather. This, apart from driver comfort, ensures instant start up, window defrosting and ...

Hello Fellers,
I've been having some problems with my TD4 recently, and since i will need to do most repairs myself, i wondered if you might offer some advice at where to start solving these symptoms:
About a month ago, while on route between Brno and Prague (about 200km), i picked up some fuel and carried on. All seemed fine, but when i got to a traffic...

I don't understand why you disconnect and reconnect the Maf?
Have you driven it with the Maf disconnected and if so was it then driving normally?

If its the radio type with two holes each side, use something like a wire coat hanger to stick in the holes to release the clips. Not sure about the head lining sorry.
