Damn crickets are noisy, aren't they?? Anyhow - I don't think it's going to make one difference or another with different brands of fluid. We change oil brands when we find something else we like, do it with PS too. I would just make sure all of the old stuff is flushed out and you should be fine. Introducing new fluid (regardless of brand) should make your PS parts very happy. Quote: Originally Posted by dubb57 [crickets]...

I've seen the flange listed seperate also but haven't ever found anyone that just sells a hub without a flange. Call Will Tillery if you want a used one. He actually knows the vehicle he removed it from as opposed to someone who just has a pile of them for sale. Which bring us back to how do you know they are both bad?

Erm,I live in Oz so we get around here. It's a 200Km round trip to get the kids to school. I just need to know when to replace these things so I don't get stranded again with a 4 hour wait in the sun and kids gone feral from dehydration. For all I know tis might be so bad I need to carry a spare. D

1. the hubs are a sealed bearing type, which means that you have to replace the whole hub.. i have heard that some have tried to replace the bearings only, but do not know the out come. 2. AB has them cheaper. Discovery II Hub Assembly With ABS Sensor - Land Rover Parts & Accessories 3. how do you know that they are bad??

If the air suspension compressor is running continuously, due to leaking air bags it will overheat and cook itself. That is on the passenger side in the UK but driver's side in the US. Peter

I have a 2003 Discovery II S that, during inclement weather, leaks water into the cabin near the passenger side A-frame down pillar / windshield seal / roof rails / etc. I mention all these causes because even Land Rover Certified Dealerships cannot determine with certainty what is causing the leak. Water, or melted snow, seeps into the cabin headliner and begins to 'stream' and 'drip' on my ...
