Re: smoking 200tdi You need to screw the power adjustment out, a quarter of a turn at a time only, and mark it or the housing it is located in so you can get back to where you started from. The diaphragm may be able to be cleaned, some need replacement. Nothing wrong with diesels as long as you understand what you are doing and are methodical about how you go about it. I may be wrong but i thought support vehicles were 110's. __________________ 1997 Discovery ES V8 auto. Previously for 10 years: 1987 Range Rover Vogue Efi auto. Re: am i being wise possibly, hopefully one of these guys can answer your question and mine about welders/welding types. my body mounts are also on their way out, hoping they will pass this year though. id recommend that if you are going to weld outside leave A LOT of time, even if your working under the vehicle or inside like i am while its cold and wet you find yourself being a bit slower than if you were in a garage. Winter tyres?

Hey Discool, Norway was fun, especially towing every year from Trondheim to Tromso, areshole started twitching after Narvik Definately needed my Arctic heating and studded tyres, was towing heavy gear, character building is one way of putting it especially during 'whiteouts' . Makes a bit of slush in Kent a bit of a joke, but funnily enough, proper ice can be easier to drive on than black ice and slushy crap we get here

Re: Disco 3 low power when pulling off
EGR valves are a very common failing on the tdv6 engine you will need to get the faults read but it will probably be one or both of the valves.

Re: Disco 2 rear door stuck
Can't be sure for your particular vehicle, but look for 'Disco door lock springs' on the web, there are various issues, broken springs being one of them.
Also, the mechanism might just simply need a lube job.

Re: Disco 1 remote key fob
According to my book, remotes should be 3TXB part no. ANR4829 for use with AMR4885 Alarm ECU although the numbers may have changed. I Googled your number and it's a Freelander and MG part number.

TD5 Fuel Filter quality

Fuel question
OK - this has probably been interrogated to death more times than I've had hot breakies ... but am still asking.
I have a D2 TD5 ES - love it to bits. I fill the tank - on average 78L. (for the older peoples like me 17 gallons) The books says I'm suppose to have a 21 gallon tank - since I have the car, I usually wait ...

Sounds like you need to check the axle alignment, the vehicle is crabbing down the road, not running straight.
Assuming you haven't spaced one set of wheels wider than the other

That part - NNN500250 is an engine ECU? as is the other one MSB101184.
Do you want to change the SLABS ecu or the engine one?
SLABS ecu is # SRD500070 as far as I can see.

Why did you change that sensor ? Was that the fault code read from the ECU ?
The ECU needs to be cleared when a faulty sensor is replaced, and the ABS light will still be on until it's registered some speed (8kmh) even after resetting the ECU
