How different is the cicumference of the new tyres? If you calculate mpg based on the speedo reading and how much fuel you fill the tank with it will change a bit betwen tyres simply because the circumference has changed and the speedo reading is different for the mileage travelled. Have no idea how big the effect will be though..

This is what I did with my series. SHouldn't be much different for the TD5. Make sure you do not take the relay trigger from the alternator as I hear this is bad on the TD5's. Land Rover UK Forums Land Rover UK Forums

I used disco rears on the front of my 110, also used the disco isolators, top and bottom (rears at bottom, disco 2 fronts at top), depending on the weight of the bar and winch you may not need the isolators but I thought they may help with the cushioning also.

Surely if it was the dim/dip relay then neither light would work on dipped beam??? If you've checked the fuses and bulbs, I'd be turning to wiring. The standard wiring is rubbish, and if a wire was slightly damaged before then the the new lights with their higher electric pull may of melted it. I'd suggest running new cables direct to the battery, switched by a relay from the standard wiring. You need to start poking around...

refit the snorkel and do a mileage check again, or swap the tyres without the snorkel if you still have the old ones on rims.

I had a screen seal replaced in september. Cost me ?55, well worth it. The bloke had a hell of a job getting the old seal out. By the way Autoglass wanted ?106 for the same job. If it was me I'd claim through insurance, I don't think it effects your NCB does it?

I drastically changed mine just by changing to r15 rims with Kumho 31x1050xr15 tyres the difference is amazing .. I can now throw it into corners accelarate around bends . Ok it lowered the chassis by an inch but it still performs very well off road ( in fact a little better ) I bought them on the rims (8 white spoke) balanced with 12mm tread at an auction for £100. best money I ever spent . It'll go well! Have you got a nanocom? if it's a post 2002 ECU, you could try uploading the ECU file to the nanocom, then install a "standard" tune (the nanocom has lots on the PC software) then see if there's any difference in driving results.

The 5 in the 5W40 is the cold viscosity rating for the engine oil and it represents the oil thickness during cold weather. 5 weight oil is thinner in freezing temperatures than 15 weight oil and therefore lubricates faster during startup and run of the cold engine. It also gives less resistance and therefore better economy which is probably neglible though. However after the engine reaches ...

What you have is unburnt diesel going out the exhaust due to a misfire - probably erratically 2 cylinders - but alternating so power is more like only one down? The problem is almost certainly your injectors (I assume the engine is otherwise all good and serviced ie filters etc). Mine does exactly the same and is otherwise mechanically A1. I should have them serviced or replaced but as...

Get a 110.. The only advantage of a 90 in my eyes is they are easier to park, and they are marginly better off road. I have a LWB which I use for camping and occasionally slinging a bike in the back. a 90 can be a bit of a faff getting a bike inand out easily. With a 110 you won't struggle at all. Yes you can put windows in a HT and bench seats at a later date And when I say a 90 is ...

I would have loved to have put a Boge in my 110 hardtop, the factory springs are pretty stiff, about 3 times the rate of the boge springs so it shows how much work that does. They are pretty pricey new though, about 400GBP I believe. I have the parts from an old rangey to fit one day with an air spring to replace the Boge unit. Have you checked out late model factory fitted springs, anyone...

I've got one on my Td5 Sounds really nice, very deep and throaty. It's a little louder in the cab than a standard exhaust but not loud enough to get tiring on a long run. Iit's actually a nice sound and I'll probably be getting another one for my Tdi fairly soon!

No, that's the top of the "boost fuelling diaphram" What happens is, pressure from the turbo (when it's giving boost) goes down this pipe, pushes on the diaphram and then pushes down on a plunger in the FIP, which allows more fuel and thus more power. but without the boost, the extra fuel would cause lots of black smoke, hence why it's boost controlled. As the FIP is lubricated by the ...

I'm not too sure, but it may be that some of the clamps that hold the supply and return pipes together have come adrift allowing the pipe to flex up and down, thereby allowing the union to 'ratchet' itself loose ?
