Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has pulled their D pillar trim on a non HSE model? A quick search didn't turn up anything helpful (disco.co.uk shows the question, but no answers). I'd like to retrofit some HSE style speakers back there if the effort isn't too great. From other threads I've ascertained that the front doors contain the markings for placement of the mid-range speakers, so I'm hoping something similar...

I think we have a Britax car seat. (we had another brand when he was an infant) I don't know what brand the booster was, it was my sister's for her kid. That may have been a Britax as well. I regularly have him in the seat and keep the other two folded down, or fold them down once the seat is already in the car. Not a problem.

You could easily run them year round. I have the previous generation WRs on my wife's Honda Pilot and not only do they wear well but they drive great in the snow and ice. I was skeptical as well but after almost three years and two winters of them on the Pilot I'm a believer. They're expensive but you'll really only have to buy one set of tires. They're likely what I'll get to replace the BadYears when the crap out.

Wow - who knew I would create such a response! As I mentioned before, it is really a test - I highly doubt it will *hurt* ice/snow driving, and there are mixed reviews online about whether it hurts tire longevity (some people actually say it increases longevity since it reduces heat - not sure I buy that). Some people also claim it adds road noise, and makes the tire feel "squirmy". In normal driving, we have yet to notice...

So I pulled the trigger today...06 LR3, V8, Buckingham Blue on alpaca, 30k miles, cold climate & lighting packages, rear PDC, 75k warranty...wife and I loved the truck. Dealer was great and is fitting new tires & brakes before we take delivery on Friday. We'll have to wing both the car seat and garage issues as we go along. Either way, it's worth it as any other similar suv would have the same issues... Time to start...

Hello all! I am not new to the forum (in fact read the new posts daily) but typically not very vocal. I am looking for a full size spare tire for my 2007 LR3 SE V8. I upgraded the tires to a set of the Yokohama Geolander 275 60 18 (thanks to the info posted by nwoods) but have yet to upgrade/replace the spare. I have seen a number of owners offering to share in a set of 18" for anyone ...

This may be a bit of a long shot, but here goes... I picked up my LR3 just a few days ago and I'm replacing the tires with some good winter rubber (new rubber arrives next week, hopefully). The truck currently has Goodyear M&S tires that I frankly won't be putting back on the vehicle in the summer. I'll need to measure the depth, but it's pretty low, although the tires did pass a safety ...

I'm kinda surprised at the dearth of options for LR3 bull bars. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places? I don't need something as extensive as the ARB, and the LR factory one is $$$ and not sturdy enough. Is anyone aware of a bar similar to this available for the LR3?

Wife and I are shopping for a true 7 passenger vehicle that can easily handle snowy New England hills (and maybe I can sneak it offroad ), and the LR3 is on our short list. 2006MY SE w/ V8 specifically. I''ve tried to do as much research as possible but I''m looking for more input. 1) LRs as a brand get a real bad rap for reliability, and I can''t seem to get objective answers about the ...

For those of us facing snow put some rain-x on your head and fog lights to help keep them clean. Works great with mud too.

My '05 LR3 just had its 52,500 mile service. All is well. The dealership said the brake pads have about 3,000 to 6,000 miles left. He offered to replace the pads and brakes now, for $1,400. Or, I could wait until the replace brake notice appeared on the dashboard. I asked why I couldn't simply replace the brake pads now, and keep the rotors. The brakes work well, and there are no ...

New member lfr has much to contribute (albeit using few words!), bringing to the fore some useful older posts again with each update. I gather from some comments that you, lfr, have some running experience working on Rovers and other cars. Do you own a shop? Let me encourage you to tell us more, if you don't mind.

So I took my car to the dealer today for a couple warrantee issues... one was the parking sensors.... when I picked up the truck they told me that my rear parking sensors are working fine. Basically you get in the car and put it in reverse and you can hear the distance control sound.... then you back up towards an object or another vehicle and the warning sound randomly comes on when your about ...

I've been using Synthetic oil that LR provided so far. And today, I was just curious to know what brand they use. They said "AIG Synthetic oil? Not sure what it is..... I was expecting name brand. So, I asked them if I can bring my own oil and they said no problem. What Synthetic oil do you experts guys use for your LR3? Or Synthetic is Synthetic and I shouldn't really worry about ...

Well, after literraly months of dealing with selling our old Freelander and searching for a new LR3, we've finally purchased an 06 SE7. It's a well optioned Atacama Sand on Alpaca model loaded with everything but Navigation / 14 speaker stereo & HD packages, and I'm picking it up tomorrow afternoon. I'd like to send out a big "thanks" to Mustbeaudi for fielding a ton of questions and doing a ...

What a morning... what was supposed to be a 30 minute oil change turned out to be over 2hrs. The service guy said that when the mechanic test drove my car after changing the oil, he noticed a "clunking"sound and said that the rear differential needs to be replaced. He said that this is a random occurrence and it is covered under warranty. They have to order the part and then it takes a day or ...

Interstate has stores here, our company uses them for the truck fleet here in MI. If you're nearby, I can get you our discounted price, but I don't find that Interstate is necessarily the cheapest even compared to Autozone, etc., for car batteries.

Hey fellow LR3 owners. I just bought a 2005 HSE. I am loving it especially now that the gas prices are dropping! My dad always drilled into my head to be prepared. He always had a tool kit in his cars. My question is what kind of tools do you carry with you? Is everything on it Metric?
