It's not like an MLE deal in any way, unless the MLE is going up to $12 million. Long shot the Clips would want to do it. Much much much longer shot that the Lakers would want to do it.

Perhaps that one season over seas didn't give scouts or NBA rookies/teams to study his playing style. Being left-handed also adds in that unique factor. I bet as the season progresses, there might be a steady decline in his #'s as teams are adjusting to his style. More data provides the team to better defend him. Teams are now seeing him for the first time and are shell-shocked as to what the game plan is to defend him. Then again,...

Not only that, he had the rookies (Bron, Melo, and Dwhistle) out at the clubs til all hours of the night AND they were showing up late for pratice/shootaround during the 2004 games. There's a slight gap between 'didn't have a chance to scout him' and 'next Jordan'.
It's likely that he falls somewhere in that gap.

Nobody will take Sasha and there is absolutely no reason to sign two more bigs. No need for Camby and Shaq on this team. Signing either a good backup SG or a PG with the MLE and getting Fisher back with the vet min will likely happen.
