All those teams arent the Lakers and arent a legit contender like we are And AI says a lot of crap...Want to bring up another other quote out from last week?? "If we're winning, I can play 10 minutes and I'm happy," he said. "When we're losing, that's when I trip out." "If we're winning games with me in that (reserve) role, I would be a (jerk) for fighting that,"...

Of course the trade could be tweaked...on a trade checker. Collison alone is more valuable basketball wise than Farmar and Morrison combined and while the financials might be somewhat attractive to Shinn, selling off another piece of talent for nothing would not be attractive to the only reason he makes any money at all off the Hornets.

Philly ultimately couldn't wait to be rid of him. Denver very quickly wanted rid of him. Detroit just made no move to re-sign him. No Memphis. ANy pattern here? He drove the coach out and destroyed the team in Philly after a short bit of success. He drove Karl crazy in Denver. He wanted to start in Detroit, but didn't deserve to, so he whined, pouted, and played like crap. He wanted to start in Memphis, but again, Mayo is the better...

Will LeBron join Kobe in L.A.?
Published (2009-11-06 10:19:00)
We would be thin? well maybe but we would have a starting lineup of : Pau/Lebron/Artest/Kobe/Fisher Lebron could play the 4 and alternate with Artest who could also play the 4. Then we could use Powell at the 4 off the bench and if we could get a journeyman vet center off the bench we could even throw Pau at the 4. That team is a match up nightmare for everyone in the NBA! Wha 4 will be able to guard Lebron? OK so he will have his issues on...

They are not going to trade their promising 1st draft pick to the Lakers for scrubs and salary relief.

luca, you mentioned in an earlier response that kobe's d against carmelo almost cost the lakers against the nuggets. i disagreed with a lot of things you said and lost the post, but i have to address this before i have to go: the nuggets won their 2nd game while playing what was described as "crashball." it was because their bigs were all crashing the offensive boards and the lakers weren't properly boxing out. by...

I could see NO trading Posey, but I don't think NO would trade away 2 really solid defensive guys, even though the do get some salary savings out of it. But I have to say, I was extremely impressed with Collison's ballhawk D last night, even if it was garbage time. We could use that.

Teams know how valuable Battier is, coming with Morrison's expiring gets you laughed off the phone for real. It would be nice if they had chips to use, but part of "rebuilding" is gaining picks and youth which the Lakers have neither to offer.

His contract is pretty toxic. Yeah, he's a nice player but his offense is limited and he's making an awful lot just to be a defense/blocks/rebounds guy.

The only player I'd trade Bynum for is Dwight Howard.

If LeBron will just walk away, it's better for Cleveland to get something in return. This scenario is completely plausible and is the one that works best for all the parties. _________________ 09-10 Predictions: LAL 67-15, 16-5, Title #16

With our injury problems to Gasol and Bynum, the Lakers are thin up front. Do they need to consider signing a big man to a 10-day contract for depth?
If so, are there any big man free agents who can play decent minutes?

Stu was making a good point. He said it is far easier for guys who naturally play off the ball to fit in on a new team than guys who are accustomed to being the primary ballhandlers on their old teams.
I feel Ariza was a great fit and proved himself. Some need to belittle his game and talents to make themselves feel better about letting him go. I think Artest can fit, but he has to make ...

Depends on if Bulls want to dump Hinrich which wouldnt surprize me because it would give them about an extra 10mill in cap next year..Thats pretty huge
Another thing is..do the Lakers take on Hinrich k even if we had the chance to? Our payroll is already loaded and Mitch have said numours times he didnt think the Lakers had enough $ to even keep Odom
It would have to be a 3 for 1 ...

I don't know what the chances are of getting him, but I agree that Calderon would work out well. Nice and steady, few turnovers.
