I have not checked into rescues outside of Texas, although I will probably have to. I have been given an ultimatum and basically Susie must be gone this weekend. Either to a home, rescue or shelter. Like I said I will NOT take her to this local shelter, I refuse to even volunteer there. It's horrible. So I will be looking @ others, I might have a home though. But until the lady physically takes her I'm not gonna stop looking.

Meet Casey my newest foster. Casey was found emaciated and scrounging for food in the countryside. He has great house manners so he must have been somone's pet. He does have a mild case of HW he is being treated for. We believe he is around 3-4 years old. He gets along with cats and small children. He is available for adoption through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida. Check out his video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2QVP4jg00Y

I just met Casey and Midnight - the two current rescue dogs Kona's Mom has. They are both such surprisingly good dogs! Casey definitely needs to get some groceries on board, and he already looks better than his original pictures! He was obviously a good house dog at one time...just makes you wonder how he got to the state he is in, and still keep that sweet lab temperment! He has not lost his faith in people, and I have no doubt he will...

Have you checked out possible rescues in surrounding states? Transport may be available if its too far for you to drive
