I called in today to make sure my vacation time was scheduled as it was supposed to be, and my supervisor just informed me that I am not getting paid for these two weeks of work because I did not honor the agreement because I had called in last week Thursday 23rd of October due...

Does the employer offer direct deposit? Is it that he is handing out the checks late, or is he putting them in the mail on Friday and they are arriving Saturday or Monday? It makes a difference.

I am given 8 hours of pto one week prior to the holiday to use for the designated holiday. However, because I work 10 hour days, I am two hours short. My boss stated that I have to save and use personal vacation time for the two hours ...

Recently our company (privately owned) underwent a mass lay-off, and the remaining employee's had a structure change. We went from 5 - 8 hour days to 4 - 9 hour days (hourly employees only - salaried employees stayed at 5 - 8 hour days). The question has come up about holiday pay and the number of hours the hourly employees should receive, do they now receive 9 hours because they are working 9 ...

A company recently started requiring its employees to be under a certain weight for their job. If a person has been in this position for many years weighing over that weight, and now the position requirements have changed, can the company legally terminate that employee?
