5.3 install into v6 camaro
Published (2008-11-26 08:16:00)
Kinda my thoughts, the 5.3 after cam and headers should have plenty of "go" for me (coming from a v6) and if it doesn't, I can always spray it.

Exactly, also you can always go the boosted route. Those 5.3 motors love the boost. I have seen quite a few turboed and CHEAP. Parts are vastly available everywere and can be found pretty dirt cheap.

Noise under the hood?
Published (2008-11-26 05:55:00)
I thought mine was the upper tensioner and I replaced that but, the squeak is still there. Today, I'm going to replace the lower tensioner and maybe the air conditioner tensioner as well. I think there are only three so, we'll see what happens. Yeah, money.

i had this happen to me... there is a service bullitin for the tensioner pulley bracket being the wrong offset... if some on can find it that will probably fix the problem...

Ok I have a 2000 WS6 and my cats are bad. I need to know if i should replace them, or just cut em off and weld pipe in there, my exhaust shop will do it for free if they can keep the cats. I'm wanting my exhaust to get pretty loud and i dont have to worry about emissions. I will be doing lt's in the future, but i dont have the cash right now, so i need an alternative. thanks.

Yes, an air pocket due to low coolant will cause that. It's a good idea to drain/flush the system. Clean out the overflow tank, too.

I'm going to 'dynamat' everything, whether I do it all at once or do it in sections as time permits in between work projects.

Hi, My wipers have gotton worse in operation over the recent months. The issue was they won't always come on in any of the delay positions. They would come on in HI, and will operate in WASH. Now they won't come on in any delay mode and not even on HI always. If used in WASH, they never go all the way down either. Any thoughts on which component would be the issue, as well as where...
