The AC works so well I hate to remove it...could I delete the PS, relocate the alt and keep the AC somehow? Ive read around it appears the madman alt relocation deletes both the AC and PS. Is there another way to keep the AC?

I am putting a 96 LT1 into a 95 TA. I am swithching the engine harness and pcm but wanted to check and see if the body harness is the same before I go ahead and pull it out. I know that it switched to OBD2 in 96 so the plugs are probably differant? I did a search and didn't come up with anything. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

I was under the impression that my car did not have stability control. However yesterday I noticed that the "low traction" light came on during some "spirited" driving... What does this mean?

GMHTP has an interesting article comparing a stock manifold to an Edelbrock air gap. Turns out that even with a 52mm TB, the airgap is barely worth 4rwtq on a mildly cammed (210/210) + bolt-on 355. It actually LOST power with a stock TB mounted on it. Page 72 of this month's issue. (just got it today) So much for "significantly improving output between 1500-6500rpm. LOL I would ...

I'm trying to put a '96 LT1 with T56 into my '68 Camaro. I have the engine harness, but no fuse box. I also have the factory service manuals, but I need some guidance. I'm a total novice with wiring. Not sure how to decipher the schematics and know what I really need. I would like to reprogram out the emissions controls as well. Suggestions?

Looks like that site is finally dead (as in non-existent) now. I used to post there alot way back when. I've seen a few of the posters from there on this site. That sucks since it used to actually have a decent amount of traffic and was LT specific. Oh well, seems like that site has been at a stand-still for a couple of years now. There were alot of good guys on that website, alot of whom ...

Well I'm thinking of deleting the 5mph bumpers, the crash bars in the doors, and going to a lightweight battery. Some people have recommended not deleting said items on a street car. What is your opinion? I'm hoping to offset the added weight of the roll bar that is in the car, and the nitrous setup. Do the bumpers offer any sort of side benefit? Or pretty much at higher speeds they don't...

aluminum driveshaft? - 37 new posts

hey guys, just been reading that a lot of you guys are putting aluminum driveshafts on your lt1 cars. however, it seems like most of you that do go to the strip a lot. my question is, is it a worthwhile investment for a weekend cruiser? i'm trying to make the ride as smooth as possible so any ideas on suspension setups for a delightful ride are welcome as well, haha. thanks!

Finally got the TA and mounts done, it turned out pretty good. Gotta get a driveshaft and then I can nhit the track and get numbers on the roots blower setup. Been sidetracked by another project for a few months but I'm back on it now. Here's some pics of the TA.

My LT1 won't start at this point. After I installed a new pressure plate this all happened. Not sure if its just coincidence. After I reinstalled the tranny and a new poly mount I took it for a ride. It ran mint for about an hour and two 10mph launches. After another 100mph pass It started to hesitate or miss for a second and then pull again while driving home. So I thought it was a rocker...
