I know I can't compare the 2 lol - just saying how much of a difference the two subs are. The more I think of it, I really don't care about this setup. The more I think about it - the more I want to upgrade now. So I think I am just going to put up this setup and order the same setup as my brother. Thanks for trying to help though. Oh and I'll let you know how the Type R sounds in the Type 2 box when it comes.

You can tap for signal at the factory amp though. You'd only need to run power and a remote from the front. You may be able to pick up the remote from the rear, I'm not sure.

I actually bought bobthephotoguys boxes from him since im local. I could not get the panles back on with the arm rests in place, they rested directly on the sub face. He gave me custom inserts that I used since there was no possible way to mount them otherwise. I think they look fine. I wanted to keep stock look but this will do Pics of install finished. It is just MDF with 3 holes custom formed to the arm rest spot with speaker cloth covering...

I have checked all of my fuses and they are all good. I tried to unhook my battery for 15 seconds to reset the ECM, but that did not work either. Anybody have any suggestions on this before I take it to the dealership.

So why not just remove the metal key from your fob, do the bypass w/ the fob, and only have the bypass active when your alarm is unarmed? like, use ground when armed to trigger a relay to activate the immobilizer? Your logic and reasoning are great, but your overthinking it. You wouldnt have to remove the immobilizer to have remote start, and if your wanting to get rid of the huge fob anyway, it...

Hey guys, i plan on adding a back up camera on the car. Just wondering how you ran the wires from to the inside of the trunk. I still have not decided on a back up camera yet, but I was thinking of getting the Boyo VTL120, still have to look around. Thanks for the help guys.

I hate to run wires all the way from front of car. I need to locate the nearest 15 amp power source in or near the trunk for a Meth Injection kit. It needs to have power on when car is on. Where do you stereo guys get your power from and is it at least 15 amp?

I know there is another forum out there with more experience with car PCs, but I wanted to pick the brains of a few of you here. I installed a car PC a little more than a year and a half ago. At the time, there was no real good FM solution for the car PC, but as time passed we have gained a few options. I have tried three options, one a USB stick, a Dice HD unit, and my current one, a visteon...
