Installing ASP pulley
Published (2009-11-26 23:21:00)
Pulley all installed and wow what a difference! The motor rev's quicker, the steering wheel feels slightly peppier and I definitely feel a small increase in power, small but noticeable. The install took me forever because the damn stock pulley would not come off even with the chrysler pulley puller tool, I used a air gun to pull the bolt off and the only downside to that is I bent the shit out the fins on a small section of the radiator,...

depends on what your goals are. if you are looking for big power na then go aftermarket. if you want a mild build na then work the 243's. AI in north carolina does great work on heads.

Mine use to do the same thing, if I went to a drive-thru it would spike like that. The fans would kick on and everything. Then it seemed that if I drove it, it would go back down. Eventually the seal on the water pump went and I had to get a new one. When I did I realized the thermo was gone. I say start with the thermostat, replace it and see if it helps. Make sure you burp the system and ...

You would need to get a vacum pump to get ridd of all the oil in the intake. Catch cans can only do so much. There is the GZ vacum pump kit. Ive heard both good an bad. LS2Tiger has been running one on his 454 for a few months now. I would personally get one if I was N/A.

LS3 or L92 heads do indeed flow better and make more power than the stock LS2 heads. The intake ports are rectangular instead of cathedral shaped like the older LS1/LS2 ports. Texas Speed sells ported L92 heads if that's what you want. I don't know all the differences, but the LS3 is 6.2L (larger displacement), plus the heads, rockers, intake manifold, and injectors are different, etc. etc.
