While I'm glad they are taking care of you Bill I'm also glad I didn't buy one earlier. When the twin 1st came out nothing was said about prototypes. You weren't charged full price for a prototype were you? I hope the new twin they are putting out holds and has the testing to back it up before being sold. I really need something that works. Thanks for posting up a thread it's nice getting word from the horses mouth

As the title states, please just post if your differential whines and if you had it replaced and if so, does the replaced diff. whine? I will be the first one: Original differential whined. Had it replaced at 5200 miles with the newest part number, but it did not clear the issue - the new one whines, too.

I am still waiting for a response. What defect, if any, does the Eaton unit have. Silence is an addmission. If you know of a defect then state so.

I've had my GTO for 8k miles or less and today I get my 3-4 shift grinding as it goes in. It has never happened before, but happened every time I went 3-4 just a few minutes ago. I got in the car to take it to a dealer/service shop around here but they're all closed. I tried to see if it would happen again, and by the time I was driving back it didn't happen. I wasn't going into 4th ...

So today the Billet shifter went in. It feels smurfing awesome. It makes the whole car seem so much more solid. The shifts are short, precise and, crisp. I set in on the medium setting and its not really that uncomfortable to shift. Some of you girly men scared me with the break in or I would put in on the lowest from the get go. The is issue tho, is that its loud. I have the cobra bob ...

It's fairly subtle for now, but as I am accelerating slowly, the rpm will surge up and down by about 100rpm at exactly 40mph. There seems to be a bit more vibrations at that time, too. It doesn't happen if I accelerate quickly. Any ideas?

Got some time here at work and I figured I'd post this up. Having had the clutch out a few times, the last being a replacement of my Exedy twin, I did the usually searching for relevent/new info that may help as well as research some of my twin disc options. It always struck me as strange to see the issues some had with a clutch such as the Spec's while others were problem free. Also got my ...

which clutch were you runnin... and, im ignorant, how much power you making, if your moderate the ls7 clutch is smooth, though doesnt handle repeated abuse for too long, ( glazes) and the Textralia 0z700 is awesome a lot of my buddies in the 600hp range run it and love it, smooth and aggressive.

I have an a4 2006 gto and I was thinking about changing to 3.73 gears. Would this be a good idea? This car is definately a daily driver, i am only 17 years old so it gets driven to school, basketball practice/games stuff like that. Another thing is that i have looked for them on the internet and can't seem to find them, anyone know where to get them? how much can i expect to pay for them?

My dad has a 2004 GTO M6. Thus far it is bone stock except for a B&M shifter and has run a 13.74 @ 104 mph. I know that these cars are prone to parts breakages when adding drag radials and more power. What parts would we need to beef up on the car if we got it running mid to high 12's on nitto drag radials (bolt-on upgrades). I'm talking axles, driveshafts, etc. What parts are the weakest ...

So it all started on Sunday. I was turning into the local Kroger to pick up some groceries with the fiance and we stopped at a stop sign and this awesome sound starts emitting from the engine bay. I said "OH *******" and I tried to take off and the car is now running very rough and doesn't want to idle. I get it to a parking spot and all these people are looking at me funny. I get the car...

Hendrix Engineering has finally released there new 2 piece 300M 1000HP GTO stubs. the nice thing about these stubs are they are 2 pieces, if for some reason you can actually break one of them(unlikely) you can replace JUST the stub and not the whole piece and that way it saves you from having to buy a whole new stub!. saves you money! ******SALE*************** GROUP BUY 799.00 and ...

The caveats for changing trans fluid at high mileage apply for automatics. Manual trans fluid can be changed at any mileage without causing any problems.

I have the Classic Tube stainless/braided clutch lines, I finally got around to bleeding the clutch tonight and i've found that the connections on the lines are leaking. I installed them into the car one piece at a time, made sure everything was tight, they still leak. How can I fix this? I read not to use teflon tape on these, but isn't there a liquid teflon that would work?
