RGV250 VJ21 Parts
Published (2009-11-26 18:22:00)
The VJ21 cylinders have different porting to the VJ22s. From what I know it's just plain worse, hence why a lot of VJ21s (mine included) have VJ22 cylinders fitted. I do have 2 VJ21 heads for sale. Make me an offer through PM or email me at andrew.tappenden@gmail.com . Cheers.

Interesting bike. Looks like the 16 inch rear has been replaced with a larger one? Yep - incorrect tank - they had a very nice tear-drop shaped unit with silver stripes. Very nice bikes when they came out, the quality of finish was very very good.

I think they always had 18's on the rear, I think the front is a 19. For a 24 year old bike that's done 66,000km it's looking pretty good. Has been fun to commute on, and even held it's own pretty good on the windy roads up to Russell. I need the cash to pay fines and finish paying off the TRX!

I have my most awesome TLR for sale. The bike body has done nearly 100,000k's BUT don't let the sway you. The engine has about 30,000kms on it. Not too long ago I spent $2,500 on her getting all the body mint as. She has Yoshi twin pipes, a KN filter and a aftermarket hyperpro sterring dampner, also she has a new battery and the tires are still way mint as.

That bracket is called a rearset, in case you didn't know. Someone around here should have one, plenty of people racing them must have parts.

Suweet bike man, and an even sweeter list of accessories to go with it. Should have no problems selling it at that price. Good luck with the sale.

A few words of advice.
I've bought bikes that "Need a little work" as projects in the past. If you enjoy fiddling around in the garage it can be a worthwhile thing to do, but if you are looking for something that you can quickly sort out and get riding buy something legal, there is always more wrong than you have been told about and can spot when you look at the bike. Take what you can see ...

Don't take what I said about the VM48 too seriously -- I have no idea what is a suitable size for a 600cc single. Given you're currently running a CV carb designed for a 500cc single, something around the same size (slide carbs are more efficient for a given size) wouldn't be a silly guess, surely.
However the VM (of suitable diameter) would be a good carb; cheap, simple to tune, uses ...
