While I haven't measured it i have noticed that my Zeus either has a narrower opening or a different shape that effectively gives you less peripheral vision than my Arai road lid.

I'm Buggs and I have been known to put Zerax's bike in danger by jumping my @ near it.
And I have carb balancing, fuel mix and alt/reg power issues, all of wot I'm trying to work through.

Well that was a wet one. Constant rain & I wasn't surprised to read about the Scouts being rescued. The rising rivers caused a couple of deviations for us on our adv excursions too.
My camera doesn't cope with moisture so only got a couple of pics. The others I will pinch off the Rally thread. The Rally itself was a lot of fun, this being the 4th South Island KiwiBiker Rally.

just brought a 08 650 TA with 5k on the clock, great bike. at $10k it was a bargin compared to 16500 for a new 700 TA. also did not like the looks of new 700

went for my 12k service the other week & the spring was shot. Luckily Woodman had an Eagle mike one he lent me. The dealer did it under warantee. The doo loks pretty good compared to earlier one. I think a torsion spring is all that is needed.
BTW Woodman your doo should arrive sometime this year... It has cleared customs - Australia!! Cos as you know New Zealand is a part of New South Wales...

just traded up and hope like hell I don't find myself having to sell it in 6 months time. Not new, but better bike.

I have a similar story with my Tenere.I paid $2200 for it nearly 2 years ago,it's probably cost me more than that in repairs/replacing worn out bits.And I still have to fix it! Current saga is a cracked crankcase,leaking base gasket,leaking kickstart seal and a noisy 3rd gear.
