My Mom is having a serious problem with getting Internet Explorer to work on her laptop (an Acer Aspire 5100), and I have no clue what's wrong with it. She just upgraded to IE8, and when she opens the program, it immediately crashes. She doesn't want to use Firefox, much to my chagrin, and just wants to go back to IE7. How would she go about reverting to IE7 without a working browser? She tried ...

My wife has a new HP Core2Duo laptop and she says basic calculations in MS Access 2003 are very slow and crash compared to what she runs at work. I doubt she has a core2duo at work but she is running windows 2000 I think. IS this a Vista issue??

How do you like it? Also, I'm considering putting a few different programs on it (Flash MX 2004 and FL Studio Fruity Loops). Now I know that these mini laptops can't handle too many processor ...

Edit - Got around first problem, now computer just turns off about 15 seconds into boot regardless of whether I'm in bios or not.
