Here's the best read on motor oils that I could find. It's really good, covers just about everything, and seems to be unbiased. It's a good read if you have time... Car Bibles : The Engine Oil Bible There are some other good car related articles on that site as well.

2010 Borrego - Page 2 - Kia Forum

The 2010 Borrego is being sold in other countries but not in the US. Look for a mildly restyled 2011 to show up in the US around April 2010.

We have a 2010 EX V6 Burnt Orange, love the Borrego. We actually found it by accident. On one of our many tire kicking outing we stopped in at the Kia dealer in Halifax, my wife and I took one look at the Borrego and said in unison,''Whats that''. Until that point we had never heard of the Borrego. We were actually looking at the Hyundai Veracruz, only for the 7 passenger seating. As soon as we drove the Borrego, the...

I love mine. It is mind boggling how well the car is made. I recently went into a Lincoln Navigator, and Oh my lord, the plastics were cheaper than a pair of fake Hollywood tits. In the Toyota Land Cruiser the buttons were rattling and it felt weirdly bolted together. And then i sat back in my Mohave, and i just appreciated how well this car is made. The plastics are better quality. Fit and Finish is better and Arrangement is not so bulky and...

Thanks again, everyone, I appreciate your answers. One of the main reasons I asked this question was that my first new car was a Ceed and I never experienced anything like this with it.

My Wife and I are new to the Borrego Experience and so far WOW we love it, we just got 14.5-18" of snow and this Truck is unstoppable! We love our limited, but we don't know what the rear gate button does on the key fob, we press it and nothing happens. I've tried it locked and unlocked but nothing happens? what does this button do? Thanks in advance!! Dave & Jill

I used to underseal vehicles and a lot of operators are very heavy handed when spraying on underseal and get it where it shouldn't be, [on and around exhaust] so it smells until it either burns off or hardens.

Most likely typical Chinese junk.
And that is not actually a retailer.

I have had my Borrego for 9 months and 11,500 miles... and I am so happy I went with it. Now that my engine is broke in I get a solid 20mpg with mixed driving. I drive more now that even. I always volunteer to take my car instead of others.
I just wish there were more accessories available to slick it up a bit more.

OK, here are my 2 cents.
I did purchase a HID kit from hidguy. Shipping was really fast, ballasts are slim, but they have two parts, not only this small credit card like piece.
Contact with them kind of poor though...
But, what is most important. I discovered a very bad problem. Well, at least it happened with my Rondo where I have projector housing.
If you have time, go ahead and take a...

2009 will probably go down as one of the worst years in recent automotive history. There has only been slightly over 1,000 Borregos sold in the U.S. All I can tell you is most owners on this forum, including myself, seem to be happy with the Borrego. I personally don't see this as a slight against Kia or the Borrego, but more of a sign of the times. There probably couldn't have been a worse ...

Winter Tires.
Has anyone put winter tires on their Borrego yet? I'm going to get some for mine, but was looking too see what people have (size/brand), and if the air pressure sensors would be a problem if they weren't in the winter rims. I find the stock Hankooks pretty slippery in the snow....

I have been waiting for a bluetooth option for my borrego. I have heard that the ad-on accessory from Kia is not a good option as it is its own unit that does not integrate into the car. I have been waiting for a good option but so far have found nothing.

I wouldn't panic... yet. This is often rust protection/paint on the engine and exhaust components that get hot. I would give it a little while and keep an eye (or perhaps a nose) on it.
Try to follow the break in suggestions for the first 600 miles listed in the owner's manual. If it persists after that, bring it in.
Welcome to the forum.

Nothing. It's not a good design. You always have to open it by hand. It's supposed to just unlock the gate only and leave the doors locked ( for what reason I don't know). It was never designed to pop it. It doesn't even work for its limited design as far as I can tell. I've stopped trying. I just use the door unlock for everything. It does the the tailgate as well. I hope that have this...
