I encountered the exact same problem as GXD154 two nights ago. The
check engine light is still on but the OBD2 Code Reader can't read what the computer says the problem is (Err1). Now that the car has set for a couple of days I'm anxious to see if it's fixed itself but I'm hesitant about putting it out on the road without knowing for sure if it's going to quit completely. how do you think?
If you did not perform ANY maintenance, any warranty would be canceled. Period.
If they were performed by non-KIA service - show receipts. KIA will accept it.
For example - if you had to replace timing belt at 60k mark, but you did not, and it broke at 65k, KIA would not accept any warranty claim.

If your battery shows it has not got a continual draw on it, I would remove and clean all terminals and connections to the battery, starter and earth to the body to make sure you have the best contacts on the starter circuit that you can. Sorry but I can't help with the seat switch problem, pobably one for an auto
electrician.

It's a timing belt and you should defiently get it done. As for the w/p, it might be a bit of a stretch but for what it'll cost you it's cheap insurance.

The reason for the high labour to chance the spark plugs is that for the back 3 the intake manifold has to be removed.
The front 3 are easy.
According to the people in the know the spark plugs on the Amanti should be good for
100000 kilometers= 60000 miles
