Man of the match was Oishi from Osaka for me, I was gutted when he lost to Takahashi, especially after pounding on Shodai in the first round too! His kote against Imoto was just awesomeness! And I had way too much beer in too short a time last night and have a god awful hang over this morning.....urgh....

Great choice of music, though it panged a sense of regret in me. Regret for the opponents who the points scored against them. The music, for me, highlighted the moment the opponent realised that an ippon had been scored. Well done. Bravo

2010 AUSKF Kendo Summer Camp...
Published (2009-11-10 04:36:00)
Another question for those in the know... how long will the summer camp will be? ... Even though I'm assuming it will be the standard 2-day event (with a Friday night add-on possibilty), has the possibility ever been discussed of having an actual WEEKLONG summer camp? (when I was a kid, any kind of camp that happened during the summer seemed to be a minimum of 5 to 7 days long).. I wonder how many people might be interested in something...

I should perhaps note that there have been a couple of folks from Miss. who have been doing batto and iaido, but they have been connected with our group and our sensei... Honestly, I don't even know if they're still active down there...

Haven't gotten official results yet but I know that from Triangle D. Castrilli passed his nidan and Z. Cox passed his ikkyu. The TKI 'A' team placed third in the team comp. I wasn't able to make it up there so I didn't get to test for sandan as I had planned. Glad to hear the Memphis people passed. Oh, and I will post the official results on the SEUSKF web page once they get sent to me.
