+1. changing the stock gearing will help a lot too. they are geared a bit lower from the factory. new sprockets and you'll be highway cruisin with no worries. i love my 800. i mena its silly how much i love that bike. and loosing weight during the choppin process helps out.

when they pulled mine, it was only a few hours. As long as they know what they are doing, pulling the motor is pretty easy for them.

That is a sweet bike. Curious about something. I've heard that it's a little cramped. How do feel on it and how tall are you? Thanks... Enjoy the ride!

Was riding along one day and the next thing I knew, there was a box spring mattress in my line. Luckily I always try to keep an escape route and had one. Pretty spooky..

Not nuts. I ride in the lane that poses the least amount of hazards, and that varies greatly by the road and weather conditions.

My 1500 Vulcan had HK's on it. Loud and obnoxious and I couldn't hear my MP3 music while cruising. When I bought my V2K I left the stock pipes on it and still love them! They have a nice rumble sound but not so loud that I can't enjoy my music while cruising. Personally...I really like the way the stock pipes sound on the V2K.

Please get back to us next July, and tell us what it's like at night with no trade winds, 88 degrees, 90% humidity, and mosquitoes sucking you bone dry, while you dodge bufo toads and blue hairs with your motorcycle.. I have a 11.5 foot fiberglass jon boat which weighs around 80 lbs. The trailer is 180 lbs. The combined weight is 260 lbs. I've been thinking on putting a hitch on my 900 custom so that I can tow my boat and throw my fishing supplies into the boat. What do you all think? It's really not that heavy at all. My friend and I lift the boat into the water with no problem.

It sure gets a little confusing when people talk about "push in the direction you want to go". Instead say "push on the right side of the bar if you want to go to the right" and I think there's no room for misinterpretation. When riding a cruiser with handlebars quite the bit away from you, I think it's sometimes easier to pull left side instead of pushing the right side. But the result is ...

If they have an envelop of cash they can entrust to me, they can knock themselves out. Otherwise I'll ride it around for them. Some people mightn't realise how heavy some bikes are, so better that way really.
