right, i just ran the installer again in the hope it would fully re-install correctly it apparently did. it ran to completion, with only one minor error - it protested that the "KAV" database was still present, so i had to delete that manually from the SQL manager, and aside fom that, it appears to be functioning normally but yet again, i am still unable to uninstall it. it doesn't appear in the add/remove programs...

im having the exact problem when i installed mp4 on the client pc's.. got quite a few customers complaining about slow computers now, any solution yet ? im also getting DistributeCOM errors in the event log. somehow im thinking its connected to kaspersky, because before i had kaspersky there werent any of these errors CODE Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-DistributedCOM Date: 20/08/2007...

Hi people, I have a KAK server on my company and I installed WSUS 3.0 in same server. After install WSUS, I saw that KAK don't conect anymore. Somebody know how correct this problem???

Yeah, seems to be a number of people experiencing it. (one example http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=146 616 ) I'm slowly migrating back to the 6.0.3 MP3 version when ppl complain about their machine being unusable, and considering changing to another vendor when the year is up. It's a shame, cos I kinda like it when it's working, but the Enterprise version on our servers, ...

Proactive defense is a very powerful toll, which implies it requires massive internal testing before deploying it in production. If you have a lot of problems with it just disable it. As for your Novell domain...i just hope it's at least a recent version, still supported by the editor. Also it seems you have a lot of DNS problems, so i suggest you check your DNS configuration. We are running Admin Kit 8.0.2048, Agent 8.0.2048, Ws antivirus 6.0.4.1212, server antivirus 6.0.4.1212 and antiovirus for Enterprise 6.0.2.555 Here is the problem. Under managed computers policies i have only one policy for the network agent, this is set to Force inheritance fo settings in Child policies. Under the Managed Computers I have several groups, each holding their own policies....

also, the admin kit is not listed in add/remove programs (although it seemingly runs fine) and if i run the original install package (hoping it will give me an option to remove the installation), it just reinstalls on top.
