My current setup is a home theatre system so i'm guessing it does colour in the sound a fair bit, also I have a subwoofer so I can never tell how much bass is really present. There are some switches on the back of the sub, it seems quite versatile for an entertainment system but really i'm looking for the truth so I can of course make a decent sounding mix for any speakers. George from Nile has an excellent video available (clips on youtube if you search). As for programming authentic blastbeats go it will obviously depend on what exactly are you aiming for of course. I usually go snare first then kick but swap it up so a machine gun effect is avoided in the one/two approach and also add triplet kicks here and their to accent sections with the aim to make interesting hats and cymbals hits which IMO pays dividends...
