I've talked to my vet about this at great length, and his feeling is that the
rabies vaccine is probably good for 5+ years. I know there are people that are working on getting laws changed, but my guess is that it will be state by state. I should get more involved and probably will. Larger dogs like mine are less likely to have adverse reactions but I love all dogs.

It might be an
allergen that he picks up when he sits down. It might be causing some itching. However if this is the case then there would be some pawlicking too. So your best bet is that he was probably bit by a bug.
Let us know what your vet says though, it sounds like an allergy but if its localized then it might not be.

Hi there Alagu.
A difficult one. Many people are frightened of
thunderstorms with no real reason, and I guess the same with dogs. We had a monster thunderstorm here this morning and my dog slept through it, even though it woke the rest of the household.
What "medications" have you tried? Do you, or any person in the house, tense when there is thunder around?
You might find this ...

Thanks for
compiling these articles K9. Only thing is that there are hardly
any numbers on these. I really think that more attention is given to this
because of the H1N1 scare...the media does have a way to make things bigger
than they are...
