Dressing nice

I like to have Maddy in presentable clothes. That said, I have lots of comfy, stretchy pants for her (black, brown, pink, off white, you name it!). I have lots of cute tops and like to have her match. However, I rarely put jeans, dresses, or skirts on her unless we are going to a granparents' house, or somewhere else like that. She wears matching yet comfy clothes to daycare. I still put her in stylish long sleeve onesies frequently. They...

Potty!

We bought a potty seat today I decided to get the kind that you can attach to your regular toilet seat so that once we are potty training big time, we can take the seat with us when we are leaving the house. I got the Baby Bjorn one, and it seems fantastic! It has this little dial thingy that adjusts the seat to fit any toilet, and then when you don't want to use it, it has a little handle in the back that you pull it up with and can hang...

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving! Sean learned about Thanksgiving in school, including turkeys. So when we asked him to tell people "Happy Thanksgiving," he would tell them, "Happy Thanksgiving Turkey!" So cute Diana, I'm glad DH didn't get demoted--that's a blessing. I'm sorry he's still going through all that crap though. Jenn, the sand dunes look like so much fun! I wanna...

Weight and height check

I only know Leigh's weight - 30 lbs 2 oz. I think she's around 31" (same for Lucy). Lucy's weight is probably 25 lbs. Our pedi keeps cancelling their 15 mo appt, grrr.

Potty!

That sounds kind of like the one we originally bought for Aaron, but the splash guard was too small. We ended up with the FP Frog potty. Aaron likes to sit on it - I hope Josiah is the same with his potty. GL!

Dressing nice
Published (2009-11-30 22:41:00)
yeah, at home Jonah usually is wearing something comfy like sweat pants or even pajamas. My aunt and grandma have given us a LOT of clothes that are comfy, but I won't take Jonah out in them, so we use them for stay-at-home days. I understand being comfy, I do, it's very important to me too, and I myself will stay in sweats all day if I'm just staying home doing chores (especially now that I'm preggers and my belly's...

I don't think you're out of the norm at all! I match Josiah's shoes to his clothes when we're headed out, heck, when we're at HOME he matches the majority of the time. The main reason being that I ENJOY picking out his clothes each morning! I think it is fun to get him dressed in a cute little outfit. He is usually in cargo pants, jeans, or cotton pull on pants with a cotton shirt. I am a ...

We have a front living room that Josiah doesn't really go in where we will put an artificial tree. He spends most of his time in the den where his toys are. We are using an artificial instead of a real tree because we figure it is a tad bit safer than a real one if he were to get near it since there isn't a water bucket in the bottom, and it is a little less heavy and more stable. Wiring it to...

Glad you had a good Thanksgiving! That is adorable that they will respond with Gobble Gobble!!!
Ours was good. We had a good time visiting with relatives. It hasnt' been the best for Avry as he's sick. He did eat some mashed potatoes at my grandparents & MILs. Hopefully he wont get sick at XMAS!

Poor Avry, lots of hugs to him & to his worried Momma! Bronchitis right after strep, how awful. I hope the treatments work quickly for him!
The girls have the sniffles right now but are otherwise OK. I'm sure they'll get sick soon since they saw all their cousins on Thanksgiving. Kids always seem to get sick when they play in a group!

YAY for your TV Debut Ranee! You'd better let all of us proud mama's know when it's going to be on! I'm fighting some kind of crud... it went straight to my chest, so I woke up with a yucky cough. Blech! Hopefully I'll be able to fight it off. I took a nap when Josiah was napping this morning because I was feeling droopy. I'm so glad it's the weekend! I'm looking forward to having DH home for a...

We bought Lily a play kitchen. My parents are giving her money for her college account and some books. My SILs spoil her like crazy and will be giving a ton of money, clothes, toys, etc. They don't ask what we need/want for her, they just send whatever and that is fine with me. DH has 6 sisters though and they go crazy on Lily, it gets a little out of control.
My sister/ BIL will be ...

I would say the thank you cards are enough. She probably wasn't expecting anything in return when she gave you the clothes. She probably just wanted to get them off her hands and get them to someone who could really use them. But maybe some baked goods would be a nice treat for the whole family.

babies *typically* show an awareness of when they need to potty at birth, three months, six months, fifteen months, and then not again until they are nearly three. I say if he is at one of those windows and you want to try it, go for it!
Jonah does pees and poops in the potty 80% of the time. He can tell us now when he needs to do both, and usually the times that we miss aren't because of ...
