go to freecycle dot org and sign up for your local one.? Post any toys that you want to get rid of there, someone is sure to gobble them up!? Or if they are in a like new condition- post them on craigslist, you may get something for them. ?

I do all of these : Regift (to my younger nephews usually) Give them to the Mexicans at the carwash down the street (they always appreciate things for their kids) recycle them if they're plastic and they're not good enough to give to someone else

When my DD was this age she saw me purging some toys and asked why, so I told her we would take them to a special place that would give them to kids that don't have as many toys. I finished purging and then the next day we went to the thrift store and dropped them off. Of course not the broken ones, etc, but the stuff that could be passed on. Now I purge before bdays and Christmas, and the kids are just accustomed to me going through...

I was talking about how do you purge them.? They girls don't mind me taking toys away.? At my DCP actually asks them to help her cycle thru the toys (she goes thru them monthly) and one day they wouldn't clean up so I "threw away" a bunch of toys.? The kicker is they told me I could do it. I like Heather's idea about giving to the Mexicans, the only problem here is that there is so little diversity.? Occasionally...

We haven't done it yet, so I don't know how it will go, but we told Alex that we need to go through her toys and "put some away" to make room for Christmas toys.  I'll keep talking about it this week and hopefully we'll tackle just after Thanksgiving (before Christmas decorations go up).  Last time DH and I just did it after she went to sleep.  We put away baby toys, threw away cheapy toys/junk,...

My aunt has used them.  She hasn't had any problems or issues with any of the food or anything.  I've been thinking about it, but I keep forgetting!

Nancy, my SIL is a lawyer and I could ask if you like....but I also know that Meredith (ourherione) is also a lawyer. I have no idea...sounds wrong to me....but don't know about the legality of it!!
