Severe Dyskaryosis CIN3 smear...
Published (2009-11-23 21:12:00)
Hi, no I didn't have a biopsy this time. I had a boderline abnormal smear in feb 09, then a colposcopy (march09) which showed 2 white patches, had 2 biopsies for these, the results showed mild diskayosis (CIN1). Then colposcopy in Sept 09 where white patches had gone, colposcopist said looks like its all back to normal, will do a smear to confirm but looked fine - so I went home and celebrated! Then got the results of smear showing severe...

Hi girls, I also had the same op as Cath and Jo, but luckily I have one child. You really sound as if you are having such a hard time. I do class myself as being lucky because I'm still here, but very unlucky to have cancer. I've only had 2 partners in my life and was shocked to learn that I had Cancer. Unless you have suffered what we have all suffered nobody knows how it feels. I really feel for the girls who can't have...

Lletz info please. (pg. mentioned)
Published (2009-11-23 15:48:00)
Hi, sorry you have this to worry about. I had quite an extensive area removed via Lletz this July for a re-occurance of high grade glandular neoplasia. I had a cone biopsy for it previously. My consultant basically would have preferred me to have a hysterectomy but we wanted to try for another baby and I've been lucky enough to find myself pregnant this month. I was due for a follow up smear and colp next month so wondering if I should of...

I think some places take 3 weeks to do a letter and get it sent to you hence the 6 week wait! I'm sure you will be fine IF it was bad news they would have probably called you in as soon as they saw the results. I phoned my consultant once and actually got him on the phone and he gave me my results then and there I think the secretaries and stuff can't though because they may not understand them?...

Hi honey. Welcome to jo's.....so sad you are here under such circumstances.....the cancer itself and then of course the heartbreaking decision you had to make. I havent been in the same situation myself....but if I remember rightly there have been other Jo's members who have been in a similar situation. Hi there. I'm sure I've been told that this initial staging remains the same - to be blunt they don't change it as the disease progresses. But they may change it if during initial tests they think they need to. It's a scary time for you and your mind will run riot - that's natural. But try to reassure yourself with what you've been told so far, which sounds very positive. The MRI and referral ...

Hi There Firstly sorry you are going through this and I feel for you. I had several abnormal smears this year so got booked in for a colposcopy which showed CIN3 cells, I then had a biopsy then a LLETZ procedure for the abnormalities. I then got called back last week and got diagnosed with stage 1A1 cervical cancer, I have now had an MRI and will see the cancer specialist next week to see if I ...

Hi, Firstly congrats on the pg , excellent news. I had a cervical stitch put in when I was pg last year so will try & help you. I too, was having my cervical length measured each week from about 14wks & found it unhelpful as well as kept getting different measurement. However, my cervix did begin to open at 18wks so was rushed in to have the stitch put in as an emergency under GA. My baby ...

It makes me really really angry that there is the misperception that gay women should not have smears - both in medical profession and in (some) parts of the gay community. ARGH! Any way thank goodness someone has fianlly seen sense. The good news is that the longer you wait, the more unlikely it is that you will have bad news. And yes, many women have abnormal cells so hopefully you'll just ...

Oh honey, I am so sorry you are still going through it and still bleeding, you must be so tired of it all now. I would try to push to see someone sooner than March as that seems like such a long way away still and you can't keep bleeding till then. Sending you lots of love and hugs and hope you start to feel better soon. xxxxxxxxx
