I totally understand and getting content from clients is my pet peeve personally. Still there are high res backgrounds with less colors (not photographs) that could have come in at 100kb or less. To be fair I've been designing for over 10 years now and I thank god I only do 6-10 sites a year more just for fun then reliance on making a living. You have my full sympathies.

The site looks great but the background loads slowly and is visually "in the way". In other words, my peripheral vision is focusing more on the background than on the substance of the site. But the site has a lot of promise.

the formats are different, but not the hard work. i have chosen a mix of community and airplay 24/7 with different programs. this was the right format for me, because basically i am producing music. so my decision was based on the question on how to manage my time. your questions and decisions will differ and a radio with live talks might be the right thing for you. if in doubt, ask yourself where the bigger appetite is, live or pre-recorded...

I didn't really get it... There is a massive amount of information in lots of little boxes - which is confusing to the eye (looks cluttered)...many of which are just adverts.

Header image seems unrelated although it's nice to look at. Tried the trial with a few sites and IMO this software still need beta testing and is not ready for prime time. 1. Just about every site I tested created a scroll bar in the middle of the site. 2. While it's scanning the page it takes over my mouse. 3. Looks nice, I really like the use of background images with the text overlaid. The overall style is really complementary of a salon site. It's a very good design, no doubt about it, I don't have any advice because it's clearly that you know what you are doing.
