Never heard this before, and don't know the right answer...but if it doesn't digest the protein, what happens to it according to the theory? You just excrete it with your bodily wastes or ??? I've heard this kind of thing with fiber and with vitamins as well. Fiber is relatively clear, and I think with vitamins too there is some kind of thing that you lose a certain amount of each vitamin so thats why the pills give you 500%...

Isnt 200 grams of chicken breast far more than 40 grams of protein?

Absorption isn't the issue. Your body can certainly absorb it. The key is what good does it do? When supplementing with milk proteins, about 20-30g is all that is needed to maximize protein synthesis. So, to that end, you really don't need to take in much more than that unless you are looking to get to a certain number of total calories ingested.

Exactly my point I've seen so many people say that if eating more than X amount of protein in one sitting the excess automatically gets converted to fat (not on these boards particularly). That is simply untrue. Excess of calories makes you fat not protein consumption.

The statement is a little arbitrary. 40 grams? there are no magic numbers because adult humans can span a huge range in weight and size. And absorb? what could that mean, does that mean digest? People literally think that we can't digest more than 40 grams of protein as food in our stomachs at one time? Why would our stomachs stop working? Maybe the question is: Is there a limit to the amount of protein that the body can use in a way that...

That sounds like a great shake. A spoon full of green or red suger-free green Jello on top and it's a Christmas treat. Tell your girl friend she does good work.

If GI is important for you, keep in mind that GI tends to increase with cooking time. When I used to eat buckwheat, I would just pour water on it from a kettle, and eat it a minute or two later when it was cool enough to eat.

Just based on my experience only... You can make a much better breakfast shake with milk, protein powder and some fruit (fresh or frozen). Maybe even add a raw egg to the mix if you're so inclined. If you use vanilla flavored. you can add a spoonful of Nestle Quik for additional flavor. Even add a tablespoon or two of dry oatmeal. The Quaker Instant Oatmeal packs aren't the ...

It's really hard to give advice without the estimated calories for each meal broken down. Also, while not necessarily as critical, the breakdown of fat, carbs, and protein per meal is helpful as well. One quick comment: while I don't buy into all the hype of a whey/dextrose/water PWO shake, I do think it's best to consume carbs in that meal. A handful of raisins isn't really cutting it. I'd...

There is no supplement really that has proven way of lifting the testosterone level. There are some like ginseng, tribulus teresis (or something like that) etc, but they themselves do not lift the hormones level. If you want to increase testosterone level, you should: - sleep regularly 7-8 hours a day, go to bed at similar time, preferably not fall asleep too late - supplement with zinc and ...

hi, you should drink it directly after the training. Then the trained muscles are full of blood and the protein of the whey shake will get there where it is needed. Eat some simple carbs with it like a banana. cheers, marcus
