Most vet clinics advertise in state veterinary publications. For example if your state veterinary medical association publishes a magazine then they will often have classified ads listed. Other sites to look at would be those that cater specifically to the veterinary field---veterinary magazines, veterinary websites, etc. There is one called "where techs connect" that lists jobs, however I don't know how active that...

I know vet assistants that make min wage and vet assistants that make 20.00 per hour. It depends on what you know, how hard you work, where you work and if your licensed. www.missionvet.com

Saint Pete's is an AVMA approved program, so I wouldn't be afraid to enroll though I haven't taken their courses. I have considered getting my bachelor's degree through them but their out of state tuition is ridiculous. I was a undergraduate in the practice of pre-veterinary medicine. I interviewed and got the job. They WILL teach you all you need to know (or you will pick it up before you are fired). Be prepared for heavy lifting and being bit and/or scratched.
