Jason, how's the DFAC and PX? :D I got stuck in the same sort of problem at BTC on my DEMOB in March - just when everyone was starting to get out of dodge. BTC was overwhelmed, they ended up charting us a flight to KTC, the first of what I guess would be many. I had a job waiting for me in States so I was more than a little anxious to get going. I was actually lucky, I was only there for two days. One of my buddies told me a story how he...

Any help would be great. My email is h.mcdowell@hotmail.com Thanks, Rob Fluor recruiters are very strict, even if I gave an email address they would still let the phone go right to voice mail and if your not on their list they won't return a call. I have been at about 4 different camps. The living conditions are very good. Very few people (if any) live in tents. Almost everyone lives in a trailer, usually without a roomate. You may have to share a bathroom. Each room is furnished and very much like a college dorm situation only better. I always had hot water, air conditioning and heat (if I wanted it).

Your flight could be 20 to 26 hours. Not sure of ammeneties in Afganistan my husband is in Iraq. You could be in Houston longer then 10 days especially due to Hurrican in Houston delaying flights out. I have heard the conditions in Afganistan are very cold winters and even less then Iraq. Good Luck.

Yes, that is a major liability thing for them. I think the WABI is given in Houston though.
